Join MCO

The Milwaukee Community Orchestra invites advanced beginners and skilled amateurs, ages 12 and older, to rehearse and perform together. It is open to anyone who can read music fluently and enjoys playing classical symphonic and pops repertoire. No audition necessary!


Fall 2026 registration is open!

Regarding payments:
– Online payments include an added convenience fee of $5 per ensemble. Checks can be made out to MCO and mailed to: MCO, c/o Kari Kraenzler, 1660 N. Prospect Ave. Unit 2804, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
– If you sign up for a waitlisted section, do not make a payment unless directed to do so by an MCO staff member.

MCO – $129

MCO meets Wednesday nights from 7–9:30 pm at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center (325 W. Walnut St.) and will feature works by Copland, Kodaly, Khachaturian, Smith, Holst, and some holiday medleys. Folder pickup is September 16 from 7-8 pm. Rehearsals start on September 30. The summer concert is on December 13, 2026. Sections are filling up fast, but there is still availability in most sections.

String Orchestra – $129

String Orchestra meets Monday nights from 7–9:30 pm at Shorewood High School. We are playing works from Parry, Piazolla, Corigliano, Mendelssohn, and Handel/Clark. Folder pickup is September 8 from 7-8 pm. Rehearsals start on September 14. The fall concert is on November 22, 2026. We have room in all sections!


As you register, please ensure you select the correct ensemble(s): Milwaukee Community Orchestra, String Orchestra or a combination of both.

Flute Choir – $129

Flute Choir meets Tuesday nights from 7–9:00 pm at Shorewood High School. We are playing works from Corelli, Virk, Isaacson, McGinty, holiday medleys and selections from the Nutcracker. Rehearsals start on October 13. The fall concert is on December 8, 2026.
